SCAM - to good to be true...

It's been hot these last couple days in so cal. Although our apartment technically has air conditioning it really only brings relief to the living room. It's so hot in our bedrooms it makes it difficult to sleep. The heat also brings the ants (see earlier post). Needless to say, Kimmie is not so excited about being here in the summer. Looking for a better deal I searched through Craig's list and found this:Not the most amazing house you have ever seen but its 3bed/2baths and all these sweet new amenities in a good neighborhood in Lakewood, utilities and Internet included for $1100 a month! The owners were being transferred to the UK and were OK with doing month to month!
So I was thinking we were going to gain more room and a place for Caleb to play and save $400 a month on rent! Not so much. The real owner wants $1835 and lives locally. Textbook fraud and I fell for it according to Craig's list.

UGH...

So yesterday Caleb's 18 months bday, he decided not to take a nap. Needless to say that was a long and terrible day for the both of us. So far today has been frustrating for relational reasons but I also went through a red light with a camera on it and I saw it flash. UGH.

Meet Elijah Thacker

Coming home from Trader Joe's today I drove by a certain corner. It is not unusual for someone to be selling mangoes, flowers, etc. Today there was Elijah:
I was so inspired that I ran home and got my camera and went back. I walked up to him and asked why he was doing this and he said "to save souls"! I love it! What a confident and passionate young man!
